A Little bit about us
APD is a small local team providing support to Albury/Wodonga and surrounds. APD was founded in 2019 to provide more mental health support options to NDIS participants, something we found was lacking in our community. We endeavour to provide support to participants with different levels of needs to develop the confidence and skills to take ownership of their lives and care. Our focus is on the support of the individual, we aim to provide personalised supports, with our participants interests, needs, beliefs etc. in mind, and will always encourage independence, choice and control.
About our Director
My name is Amanda, I am the director here at APD Mental health support. I have worked in the community services sector for several years and have a background in disability, advocacy, youth support and mental health. I am very passionate about providing support to those who need it most. I started APD as I found that many bigger agencies were placing more value on making a profit, rather than supporting their participants and allowing them to have a voice. I felt that there was a need for more person centred support options out there for people and felt strongly about trying to fill that gap.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have in regard to your support needs.
Our Vision: Creating a world that is inclusive, treats people with respect and empowers all to create opportunities for themselves and others
It is our mission to provide quality tailored supports to NDIS participants and empower them to take control of their lives.
