Psychosocial recovery coaching

What is a Psychosocial recovery Coach?

Their purpose is to provide support to people experiencing a psychosocial disability by building capacity, strengths and resilience. Working with participants, their families, carers and supports, they will design, plan, implement and adjust a recovery plan.
Recovery coaches will focus on coaching participants to have greater participation in managing their lives, and will collaborate with other services to support and underpin these outcomes.
This mental health service is designed to be able to maintain engagement through periods of increased support needs due to the episodic nature of mental illness.

Our Recovery Coaches will:

  • provide coaching to you and work collaboratively with your family, carers, providers and other supports to connect you to a range of services.

  • work with you to build strong, respectful relationships.

  • assist you to take more control of your life and to better manage the complex challenges of day-to-day living.
